ABOUT PROGRAM

The Master's degree is research degree by thesis under the supervision of experienced members of academic staff or a supervisory panel.

The progress of a research student is monitored and assessed by the supervisor at the end of each semester.
Final assessment is made through the thesis prepared by the student and an oral examination.
A student who has satiesfied the Examination Committe in all aspects of their work is eligible for the award of the Master degree.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

ACADEMIC

i. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 3.00, as accepted by the University Senate; OR

ii. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting a CGPA of 3.00 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the University; OR

iii. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to a thorough rigorous assessment as determined by the University to identify the appropriate prerequisite courses that equivalent to their working experience in the Computing or related fields; OR

iv. A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Non-Computing field with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted subject to appropriate prerequisite courses; OR

v. Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in Computing or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia must fulfil the requirement on item i or ii.

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS

* Applicants who graduated with academic qualification from Higher Learning Institutions in Malaysia recognized by the Senate are eligible to apply for exemption from the English Language Proficiency requirements.

*Applicants who graduated with academic qualification from Higher Learning Institutions from foreign countries listed as the English Speaking Countries are eligible to apply for exemption from the English Language Proficiency requirements.
